After I finished my ungraduated study and got my
BS degree, I chose to study for my master degree of mechanical engineering and
joined Precision Engineering Laboratory led by Prof. Kuang-Yuh Huang, where we
worked on research projects and my master thesis. In 2009, we started a university-industry
research cooperation plan with Foxconn Electronics Inc., “Integration and
Investigation of Metal Riveting Techniques.” We provided precise FEA simulation
and experiment results and helped Foxconn derive the performance of fastening
rivets and lower the cost of its sever products. (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2)
