Biaxial Nano-scale Positioning System (Master Thesis @ NTU)

    In 2010, I participated in a research cooperation project “Design and development of positioning system of Atomic Force Microscopy” in Institute of Physics of Academia Sinica, the highest research institution in Taiwan, and worked on my thesis, “Design and Development of Biaxial Nano-scale Positioning System.”  I helped my group improve the previous actuator, and I developed a biaxial long-stroke and nanometer-scale positioning system controlled by a user-friendly interface on PC. (see Fig. 1)

Integration and Investigation of Metal Riveting Techniques (Research Project @ NTU)

    After I finished my ungraduated study and got my BS degree, I chose to study for my master degree of mechanical engineering and joined Precision Engineering Laboratory led by Prof. Kuang-Yuh Huang, where we worked on research projects and my master thesis. In 2009, we started a university-industry research cooperation plan with Foxconn Electronics Inc., “Integration and Investigation of Metal Riveting Techniques.” We provided precise FEA simulation and experiment results and helped Foxconn derive the performance of fastening rivets and lower the cost of its sever products. (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2)

Medicine Dispensing Machine (Automatic Machine Design @ NTU)

    I attended National Taiwan University, the most prestigious college in Taiwan, and achieved sufficiently well performance in the department of mechanical engineering.  I did well in academic courses such as Machine Design Theory, Automatic Control and Application of CAD System and business-technology classes like Computer Programming Language, Accounting for management, and International Economics Principle during my college years.  Also, I took courses which require a lot of hands-on practice and group work.

    In the class of Automatic Machine Design in 2008, my group successfully developed a medicine dispensing machine controlled by Programmable Logic Controller (see Fig. 1 & Fig. 2), got the highest score in the class, and demonstrated abilities of mechanical design and automation control in undergraduate study.
