Volunteer & Service and Humanities Experience Camp

I really like to do volunteer in my free time, because I believe that helping and serving other people is the purpose of our life. I have joined many volunteering activities such as teaching children who live in a poor and faraway village (see Fig. 1) and repairing bicycles for students on campus. I also went to the Service and Humanities Experience Camp hold by Service Science Society of Taiwan in 2013 (see Fig. 2). There I realized that the application of science, management, and engineering can provide value for others. Through serving others, we can get a chance to give back and make a difference. For example, we can employ the knowledge of Educational Robotics, Human-Robot Interaction, and Multimedia and Creative Technologies to teach those children and help them learn. And that's what I want to do in next several years.
